We walked in for a quick coffee to go, and the gentleman who appeared to be the owner was very friendly and generous in the midst of their morning rush. Great atmosphere! We will be back for breakfast when we are on our way through town.
Absolutely love this place. Great food and great service. I really enjoyed the eclectic art feel of the place. And everything is well prepared and the hand crafted coffees are amazing!

Loved the lively, eclectic, artsy atmosphere. Every server was extremely friendly. We got a front booth seat and it was perfect. I got biscuits and gravy, and everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. My son absolutely loved their bread, and he got a yummy veggie omelette. They give you your own pot of coffee, too, and they offer a different flavor from regular (french vanilla was really good). I don’t know the next time I will make it to Carbondale, but definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.
Small Cafe with lots of great choices. We had Egg Benedict and French Toast. The coffee was excellent too! Friendly waiter who was very attentive. Fun little garden and Koi pond next door.
Whoah… this place was amazing, no seriously. I went there last weekend, 8/23/25. I went to school here at SIU-C from 2005-2007 and never went there to eat while in college. I tell you what …I highly regret it. This was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had. My waitress was awesome, I believe her name was Lisa. She had a great attitude, very nice, and resourceful, she answered all my questions and recommends a meal for me after describing what I wanted to eat. I ordered oatmeal that came with brown sugar and raisins, cooked perfectly… not too runny… not too dry. The eggs were fresh, pancakes were really fluffy, and the breakfast ham was cooked perfectly.. so rich in flavor. This is a must try if you are in the Carbondale, IL area. I will most def be back!! ☀️👏🫡
First off we stopped in this town on our way through to Kansas City and so glad we stopped here! Everyone was great! The atmosphere in here was amazing and the food was awesome too! Had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and it was amazing!!

This is a very cute little restaurant! I had the special which was tomato balsamic glaze with avocado on sourdough toast. The value was spectacular, the food was delicious and the vibes were excellent.
Where to even start. It’s one of those destinations that really just steals a part of your heart right off the start, for sure if you’ve got any sense of soul and whimsy. It felt like a real life page from an old beautiful story book. One of those places that any curated brand could never compete with and that can only be built by true passion and love. And community. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and outstanding & the atmosphere was welcoming and happy. Be back soon!
